Features & Amenities

Gone to the Dogs (GTTD) offers the very best in daycare, grooming and training. GTTD opened its doors on May 4, 2010. The building was built and donated to Tails Humane Society by Michelle Bejbl of Canaglia Inc., giving Tails a large indoor space to have their evening training classes and Michelle a prime spot in which to run GTTD. The building also includes dedicated space for Tails Spay/Neuter Clinic—

Michelle has an animal welfare background and believes wholeheartedly in Tails’ mission to address the root causes of pet overpopulation. Dog daycare is a second career for Michelle, who also has been involved in veterinary care, banking and corporate management. Keeping pets in their homes with loving families is important to Michelle. “Giving dogs an outlet for their normal dog energy makes them happier, more well-behaved pets—pets that don’t end up at an animal shelter” Michelle comments.

Outdoor:

Gone to the Dogs also has a great outside area that we play in all summer. There is 6000 square feet of fenced area sectioned into three spaces, that way we can go all the way out on nice days or just stay close to the building when it is really cold. We go outside many times everyday, regardless of the weather, because many of our dogs are so well house-trained that they will only eliminate outside.Whether snow or brilliant sunshine, our GTTD dogs love it!

Indoor:

Gone to the Dogs has a 3500 square foot indoor daycare floor. This allows us to safely have up to 35 dogs on the floor since each dog needs 70 to 100 square feet of their own to feel unstressed. The dogs are supervised by trained staff at a ratio of one person to every 12 dogs. GTTD has 5 suites outside of the daycare floor to accommodate dogs who need a break or an extra nap. The daycare floor has lots of natural light and a large ceiling fan to keep the temperature at a constant, comfortable level. Ramps and toys provide fun and Kuranda beds offer a place to rest for a few minutes. Then it's back to playing!
